Hard
Things

Our Story

Our family motto is “We do hard things.”It started as something we told our four kids during hikes, an encouraging way to help build resilience. But that motto took on more significance when our youngest daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was two.

During that season, even things like getting up and brushing my teeth felt like a hard thing. Having dealt with depression and anxiety before, I knew I needed to keep moving, to do something, anything other than ruminate.

Something that helped was being able to start with just one small, hard thing. If I could do that, I found that it would create momentum to tackle other hard things.

There are plenty of to-do list apps. But most of them ask you to prioritize when even getting started feels impossible.

This app tries to take a different approach. It doesn’t ask for everything. Just one thing. Something hard enough to matter but that you are capable of doing.

It’s not about productivity. It’s about creating momentum. So if you’re overwhelmed, burned out, stuck or just tired, we hope this app helps.

Together, we do hard things.
